We Believe:

  • We believe in the verbal, plenary, inspiration of both the Old and New Testaments.  It is the infallible rule for faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; Hebrews 4:12).

  • We believe the one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally, self-existent creator of all things.  One God manifest in three persons—Father Son, and Holy Ghost (Genesis 1:1; Ephesians 3:9; Deuteronomy 6:4).

  • We believe in Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, born of the virgin Mary.  He was crucified, died, was buried, and resurrected from the dead on the third day.  He ascended bodily into Heaven and is coming again with glory to judge the living and the dead (Matthew 16:13-18; 1 John 2:22-23; 4:1-3,15).

  • We believe God created man in His own image.  Man was good and upright but by voluntary transgression fell incurring not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God (Genesis 1:26-30; 2:16-17; 3:1-8; Romans 5:12-19).

  • We believe man’s only hope of redemption is through the blood of Jesus Christ, that salvation is by grace through faith and that it is a gift of God which cannot be earned by good works (1 Peter 1:18-21; Ephesians 2:8-9; Luke 24:45-47).

  • We believe in water baptism by complete immersion.  It is an outward sign of an inward work of salvation that should only be performed for those who have experienced salvation by grace through faith (Matthew 28:18-20).

  • We believe the Lord’s Supper symbolizes the broken body and spilled blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.  The elements should only be taken by those who have accepted Jesus Christ for salvation in remembrance of His death, a practice to be continued util His return (Matthew 26:26-28).

  • We believe that holy matrimony was ordained by God and therefore is not to be entered into lightly.  It is a covenant with the Almighty as well as a vital part of our worship (Genesis 2:18).

  • We believe in the Baptism in the Holy Ghost subsequent to and distinct from regeneration.  The initial physical evidence of which is speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives the utterance (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; Acts 2:1-13).

  • We believe Scripture teaches a life of holiness without which no man shall see the Lord.  This Separation from the world and dedication to God (i.e. sanctification) is a process that begins at conversion and continues throughout the life of the believer (Hebrews 12:12-17; 1 Peter 1:13-16).

  • We believe Divine healing is an integral part of the Gospel and that it is provided for in the atonement.  Deliverance from sickness was not only a gift for the early church but should be a vital part of the church today (Isaiah 53:4-5; James 5:13-20).

  • We believe God’s purpose concerning man is to seek and to save that which was lost, to be worshiped by man, and to build a body of believers in the image of His Son.  Therefore the church is the body of Christ with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her Great Commission (Hebrews 10:25; Acts 2:42; Ephesians 4:11-16).

  • We believe the gifts of the Spirit work through individual believers for the edification of both the individual and the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:1-11; Ephesians 4:11-16; Romans 12:6-8).

  • We believe those who have died in Christ will be resurrected to join those alive and translated at the appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ.  This is the imminent blessed hope of the believer (1 Corinthians 15:51-58; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18; Titus 2:1-14).

  • We believe the second coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints (i.e. our blessed hope) followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on the earth for one thousand years.  This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace (Zechariah 14:1-11; Revelation 19:11-16; 20:1-10).

  • We believe the present heaven and earth will be renovated by fire and look for a new heaven and earth wherein dwelleth righteousness (2 Peter 3:10-14; Revelation 21-22).

  • We believe there will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works.  Those whose names are not found written in the Book of Life will be cast with the devil and his angels into the lake of fire, a literal burning place where the worm dies not and the fire is not quenched (Revelation 19:20; 20:10-15; 21:8).

  • We believe that God’s plan for the financial support of the church, its ministries, and its ministers is by the regular giving of tithes and offerings by the members as the Lord prospers them. (1 Corinthians 9:7-14; 16:1-4; Malachi 3:8-12; Matthew 23:23).

  • We believe marriage is a lifetime commitment between one man and one woman.  Fornication is the only Scriptural grounds for severing this union (Genesis 2:21-24; Matthew 19:3-9).

  • We believe a Christian should deny ungodliness and worldly lust.  Their appearance, conduct, and speech should exemplify holiness and bring glory to God (Ephesians 4:29-32; Colossians 3:5-17; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 1Thessalonians 5:22).
